Vanilla Cake

Our secret-recipe signature vanilla cake - loved by the old, the young and everyone in between! Wondrous vanilla-ery (hard to spell...) cake that tastes every bit as delicious as the vanilla buttercream slathered all over it and finished off so it's pretty as a picture. (We can make it less pretty but still totally delicious - choose this option at checkout)

The cake is presented on a silver board ready for you to pop onto your most beautiful plate or cake stand.

This layer cake looks like it's home made because it is! For that reason the dimensions are approximate. And a slight lean is completely normal! You'll be more convincing when you tell people you made it yourself. Remember we take that as a compliment!

SERVES: depends ENTIRELY on who is wielding the cake knife but we say 12-16 people (approx) for the medium or 25-30 people for the large size. If you cut it into rectangular slices (by cutting it across instead of wedges) the large size goes a looong way - we've seen it serve up to 50, but it's entirely up to you. It's your cake and you should share it (or not!) however you want to. The Extra Large size can serve up to 50-60 (or more...)
